The number of companies created in Morocco reached 77,322 companies during the first ten months of this year, according to the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
These companies are divided into legal persons with 52,968 companies and natural persons (24,354), specifies the OMPIC in its general dashboard.
This dashboard shows a domination of the Trade sector with a share of 36.42%, followed by building and public works (BTP) and real estate activities (17.72%), miscellaneous services (17.48% ), transport (8.88%), industries (7.12%), hotels and restaurants (6.46%), the information and communication technology sector (2.59%), the agriculture and fishing (2.22%) and financial activities (1.10%).
By legal form, the companies created are 62% single-shareholder limited liability companies (SARL-AU), 37.6% SARLs, 0.3% public limited companies (SA) and 0.1% public limited companies. in collective name (SNC).
By region, Casablanca-Settat monopolizes 21,640 creations, ahead of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (10,941), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (10,184), Marrakech-Safi (7,612) and Fez-Meknes (5,912), reports the OMPIC.
