6 regions affected by new cases

Six regions have new coronavirus infections on Monday, March 28, with fewer than 8 new cases in several regions.

The MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and monitoring platform,, details that Morocco now has 1,163,012 confirmed cases, 16,058 deaths (i.e. a fatality rate of 1.4%), 1,146,377 recoveries, a total of 11,261,781 tests (an increase of 4,165). Currently, there are therefore 577 cases being treated, including 41 in serious condition (0 under intubation).

In addition, 24,784,609 people have received a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 23,255,342 are on the second dose and 6,112,541 for the third, the health ministry said.

As for the geographical distribution of new cases recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, it is the Casablanca-Settat region which comes first among the most affected regions, accounting for 16 new infections, including 15 in Casablanca and 1 in Médiouna.

It is followed by the Marrakech-Safi region which records 9 new infections all concentrated in the city of Marrakech.

The region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra has recorded a total of 5 new cases in Rabat while that of the eastern region has 3 in Oujda-Angad in the same way as that of Souss-Massa (2 in Agadir and 1 in Tiznit), details the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and intelligence platform,

The last region to have two new ones is that of Fez-Meknes, including 1 in Fez and 1 in El Hajeb.
