In just 24 hours, 50 new severe cases were admitted to intensive care for a total of 424 on Monday, April 12, the health ministry said in its daily epidemiological report. There are 222 cases under non-invasive ventilation, while 18 others are under intubation.
In addition, Morocco has recorded in the last 24 hours, 9 deaths due to Covid-19, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 8,909. The case fatality rate is still stable on Monday at 1.77%.
In details, the deaths are distributed as follows: 3 deaths in the region of Casablanca-Settat all in the city of Casablanca, 1 death in the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra in the city of Kénitra, 2 deaths in the region of l’Orientale (1 in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Berkane), 1 death in the region of Béni Mellal-Khénifra in the city of Béni Mellal and finally a new death in the Daraâ-Tafilalet region in the city of Midelt. The other regions of the Kingdom have not recorded any deaths in the last 24 hours.
Morocco has also recorded 271 healings bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 488,632 remissions. The cure rate stood at 97.28% this Monday while the total active cases observed an increase to 4,736 cases (0.94%).

Regarding vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 4,486,628, including 4,148,610 totally, reports the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.
