The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC), indicated that some 433 companies were created in Morocco during the month of January 2023.
It thus emerges from OMPIC’s general dashboard that these companies are divided between legal persons with 156 units and natural persons (277), just as it is reported that the trade sector dominates with a share of 47.79%, followed by construction and public works (BTP) and real estate activities (17.71%), miscellaneous services (15.68%), industries (7.38%), transport (5, 17%), hotels and restaurants (3.51%), the information and communication technology sector (1.11%), agriculture and fishing (1.11%) and financial activities (0 .55%).
By legal form, the companies created are 63.5% single-shareholder limited liability companies (SARL-AU), 35.9% SARLs and 0.6% general partnerships (SNC). By region, the dashboard shows that Nador monopolizes 217 business creations, ahead of Oujda (126), Berkane (46), Guercif (16), Driouch (13), Taourirt (11) and Bouarfa (4) .
