The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation announced on Wednesday the results of the joint competition for access to the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry for the year 2022-2023. . It shows that a total of 4,129 candidates have been admitted and will be assigned according to the criteria of merit and availability.
The results of this competition, organized on July 29, were announced via the ministry’s online platform www.cursussup.gov.ma, in accordance with ministerial note 01/655 relating to access to the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and of dentistry for the year 2022-2023, made public on June 30, indicates a press release from the ministry.
The number of candidates admitted to the common competition and having obtained the fixed threshold amounted to 61,336, of which 48,079 answered present, notes the same source, adding that in order to ensure equal opportunities, the ministry has arranged 57 examination centers in cities and university centers under 21 prefectures and provinces in different regions of the Kingdom.
In order to guide the candidates in the preparation of the competition, the ministry published, on July 20, a frame of reference in three languages which contains the essential information relating thereto.
According to the same source, the competition took place in good conditions and in complete transparency, despite a few very limited cases of cheating which were the subject of official reports in order to take the necessary measures.
Some 13,497 candidates who did not obtain eliminatory marks in one of the tests were retained, to ultimately select 4,129 who will be assigned to the three branches of the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, according to the criteria of merit on the basis of the results obtained and the order of the choices expressed by the candidates, as well as the number of places available in each course and establishment.
The Ministry took this opportunity to salute the distinguished involvement of educational, administrative and technical executives in order to ensure the success of this national deadline, as well as the mobilization and support of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and local authorities and security services who contributed to the organization of this competition. While congratulating the winners, the ministry appealed to them to start registration in full respect of the timetable set for this purpose.
