Some 32 students representing 16 provincial directorates under the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) Casablanca-Settat, were appointed ambassadors for the defense of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, during a ceremony organized in the economic capital.
During this ceremony, chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports (Department of National Education), Younes Shimi, the director of AREF Casablanca-Settat, Abdelmoumen Talib, called these young ambassadors to become aware of the heavy responsibility entrusted to them, which requires demonstrating more dedication and self-sacrifice, sincere patriotism and a great degree of responsibility in the fulfillment of their mission which consists in defending the territorial integrity and the great national causes.
He expressed the hope of seeing these students constantly attached to the history and memory of their dear homeland, to defend body and soul as ambassadors for this country and its territorial integrity in the various forums and meetings and in all circumstances.
Talib said that this exceptional meeting is a historic step that arouses pride, since the ambassadors selected for the defense of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom were selected among the students of the Moroccan school.
This initiative, he said, is part of the activation of the partnership concluded between the Academy and the association of the Al Badil International Center for Journalism and Information, which mainly provides for the creation of clubs of territorial integrity ambassadors within schools in the region, as well as the organization of a series of national, educational and cultural activities.
He specified that the pupils Fatima Zahra Bouchnif (provincial direction of Ain Chock) and Rayan Baroudi (provincial direction of Mohammedia) were appointed regional ambassadors, while Fatima Zahra Hadidi (direction of Bernoussi) and Oussama Haidar (direction of Mediouna) were appointed as their deputies.
For his part, Bouchaib Hamraoui, president of the association of the Al Badil international center, indicated that the choice of the regional ambassador and ambassador was made following a competition organized under the supervision of a jury composed of university professors and journalists, to represent the AREF in the various conferences, with the key to a program drawn up for advocacy in Parliament and marked by visits to several regions and monuments and a caravan to Guergarate.
The jury based its choice of these ambassadors on three criteria, namely their general culture in history, modern languages and advocacy, regardless of their school level, ranging from primary to baccalaureate, he continued.
The objective sought is to create a kind of nursery for the training of students capable of defending their country by using irrefutable evidence and arguments to counter the allegations conveyed by the adversaries of the Fatherland, he underlined.
The program of this ceremony included musical performances presented by students to celebrate the Fatherland, the screening of a documentary to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among these budding young people, as well as a testimony from a former prisoner who succeeded in escape from the Tindouf camps after more than 23 years of sequestration, in which he underlined the importance for the rising generations to master languages and history in order to be able to transmit their messages during various national and international events.
Previously, the Secretary General of the Ministry and the Director of AREF proceeded to the inauguration of the second chance school dedicated to sports professions at the Al Mansour Al Dahbi school, under the Al Fida- Seas Sultan.
A field visit was also made to the sports high school under the Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi provincial directorate, where a closing ceremony of a symposium dedicated to students was organized.
