2,936 active cases nationwide including 71 severe cases

On this Thursday, August 4, the epidemiological report from the Ministry of Health reports 2,936 active cases of Covid-19, under treatment nationwide. Similarly, 8,273 tests were carried out in 24 hours, bringing the national total of tests since the start of the pandemic to 12,268,725.

In addition, Morocco has recorded 2 deaths due to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, in the Souss-Massa region (1 in Taroudannt, 1 in Tata). The total number of deaths at the national level since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,250, while the fatality rate is at 1.29%.

Still in its daily epidemiological report, the Ministry of Health reports 7 new severe cases admitted to intensive care in 24 hours for a national total of 71 critical cases. The cases under artificial respiration stand at 17 cases while 4 others are under intubation.
