At least 28 people were killed and more than 300 injured in a collision between several trains in the eastern Indian state of Odisha, according to a medical official, amid fears that many were trapped under the carriages.
“At least 28 people have been confirmed dead and about 300,” said the medical official in Balasore, near the crash site, in a statement to AFP, pointing to the deployment of doctors and medical staff at the accident site.
