A 26-year-old woman was found Sunday morning hanged with a rope in her kitchen, in the Ait Ahmed douar of the province of Chtouka Ait Baha. According to the testimonies of the neighbors, it would not be a suicide.
The young woman from Demnat was found dead by elements of the Royal Gendarmerie and auxiliary forces. She was the mother of three children.
A technical and scientific investigation was opened by members of the gendarmerie and research was carried out at the site of the accident.
While the causes of death are still ambiguous, the body of the victim was taken to the morgue of the Hassan II regional hospital center in Agadir, in order to carry out his autopsy and determine the true cause of death.
According to eyewitnesses, neighbors of the young woman, doubts implicate the husband and think that it would be a feminicide. The latter was arrested by the gendarmerie pending an investigation into the causes of death.
Witnesses on the spot assured that the husband had disappeared from circulation for several years before his arrival at the home of the deceased a few days before his death. In addition, the two spouses would be in the process of divorce.
