The number of companies created in Morocco reached 24,544 companies during the first three months of this year, according to the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
This figure is divided between legal persons (16,357 companies) and natural persons (8,187 companies), according to the general dashboard of OMPIC.
According to the same source, the sectoral classification of companies created is dominated by the trade sector (37.03%), followed by construction and public works (BTP) and real estate activities (18.49%), miscellaneous services ( 17.47%), transport (8.18%), industries (6.95%), hotels and restaurants (6.26%), the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector (2 89%), agriculture and fishing (1.70%) and financial activities (1.02%).
By legal form, 62.8% of the companies created are single-member limited liability companies (SARLAU), 36.8% limited liability companies (SARL), 0.2% public limited companies (SA) and 0. 1% of General Partnerships (SNC). By region, Casablanca-Settat monopolizes 7,156 creations, ahead of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (3,690), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (2,963), Marrakech-Safi (2,474), Fès-Meknes (1,842), Oriental ( 1,588), Souss-Massa (1,519), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1,129), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (828), Draâ-Tafilalet (615), Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (531) and Guelmim Oued Noun (209) .
