This year is very special for the International Exhibition of Transport and Logistics for Africa and the Mediterranean (LOGISMED) because the context of the health crisis persists and continues to raise concerns with the Moroccan public authorities, particularly at the level of the permission for large gatherings.
Also, and given the lack of visibility on the lifting of the restrictions in force in the country, despite the signs of a decline in the epidemic and economic recovery, the Organizing Committee of the show has decided to postpone the date and to change the venue for the event, by offering a physical event on a human scale. This 9th edition will therefore take place from June 14 to 16, 2022 in Casablanca.
Logistics earns its titles of nobility
It took a global pandemic and a health crisis to realize the need for the logistics business. Throughout the period of confinement and restrictions, Moroccans lacked almost nothing in terms of food and health. The crisis has revealed and reaffirmed the central role of logistics as an essential activity, of major public interest which can strongly contribute to economic recovery.
Logistics players demonstrated on this occasion their involvement in the front line of the fight against the epidemic. They provided vital transportation and warehousing services that helped ensure vital activities. They deserve our full recognition. Thus, the health crisis will have put logistics back in the spotlight, which has, so to speak, won its titles of nobility.
The epidemic has not completely disappeared, but the players in the logistics community have already learned the main lessons, in particular to accept uncertainty, to make resilience and agility the two major levers that will guiding the future development of the supply chain, accelerating digital transformation to optimize costs, reduce lead times and meet customer requirements, use new technologies, collaborate with ecosystem players, etc.
A benchmark show
The purpose of the show is to highlight logistics, its trades and its know-how, and to provide companies of all sizes and in all sectors of activity with the appropriate solutions and the tools necessary to strengthen their competitive potential. , develop their business and thus improve their own profitability. It thus gives visitors the opportunity to find the answers to their needs and to discover innovations, and at the same time to participate in debates and exchanges around ideas and initiatives that are advancing Moroccan logistics. This makes Logismed a benchmark which, in just a few years, has established itself as a unique meeting place for players in the sector in Africa and the Mediterranean.
Logismed is proud to be considered as the premium annual meeting of an exciting, buoyant, very dynamic sector at the heart of corporate business.
A topical theme
In the all-digital era, the logistics sector must also face the challenges of digital transformation. Reflecting the expectations and challenges of the sector, Logismed 2022 is placed under the central theme “Digitalization, a simple evolution or a necessary revolution!” », a topical subject that leads to the disappearance of certain professions, the transformation of others and the emergence of new needs.
This is a profound paradigm shift, which affects the supply chain as a whole and at all levels. Indeed, all companies are affected by the digital phenomenon, to implement the competitive levers offered by information technologies.
Digital orientation will therefore be at the heart of Logismed 2022. An update will be given on the challenges, trends and prospects of digitalization in the Supply Chain.
