From June 22 to 24, the 16th Jazzablanca Festival will come to offer three days of music and sharing, at Anfa Park (paid concerts) and at Place des Nations Unies (free concerts).
After having been a full house in 2022, Jazzablanca is reiterating its original formula: a demanding program with exceptional concerts; the discovery of new talents to meet international legends; a festive experience in an idyllic setting and the eclectic atmosphere that is the hallmark of the festival.
Expected by the public with enthusiasm, Jazzablanca is today an unmissable event in the cultural agenda of the Kingdom. The festival is sold out on the sale of the “Blind Pass”, which was launched in mid-January 2023 (Pass at a reduced rate for the 3 days of the festival without knowing the program), a pledge of confidence that the public expresses for the festival. A first part of the program is unveiled.
Thus, six first artists of great talent will thrill the two stages of Anfa Park, from June 22 to 24. audiences will be able to enjoy the bewitching blues-rock of Beth Hart, the eccentric pop of Mika, the ancestral music of West Africa with the queen of the Gambian kora Sona Jobarteh, the jazz funk electro of Kamaal Williams, the jazz Moroccan with oriental accents from the quartet of Ismail Sentissi and the afro-funk of Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, undisputed master of highlife.
Call for projects for emerging talents
For 6 editions, Jazzablanca has launched its annual call for applications for young Moroccan talents/residents in Morocco. The festival thus confirms its approach to promotion, distribution and enhancement of emerging artists from the Moroccan scene.
In doing so, the winning groups have the opportunity to perform in professional conditions on the BMCI Stage, the festival’s public stage, at the Place des Nations-Unies.
Registration is free and open to all established musical groups. All forms of current music are concerned.
The candidates, called to registermust be able to offer at least three original compositions and a stage performance of at least one hour.
