17 severe cases admitted to REA at the national level and 9 under artificial respiration

In Morocco, the occupancy rate of intensive care beds stands this Wednesday, May 25 at 0.3%. Thus, the total of severe cases admitted to intensive care in the Kingdom stands at 17 cases, the Ministry of Health said in its daily epidemiological report. At the national level, the report also reports 9 cases under artificial respiration and zero intubated cases.

In 24 hours, Morocco carried out 5,943 tests, bringing the national total of tests carried out since the start of the pandemic to 11,619,498. In addition, Morocco has not recorded any deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore remains stable at 16,076, as does the fatality rate, which is still at 1.38%.

Morocco has also recorded 77 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,149,865 remissions. The recovery rate stood at 98.52% this Wednesday, while the total number of active cases stood at 1,145 cases (0.1%).

Regarding vaccination, the number of recipients of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,827,447, 23,307,864 received D2 while 6,395,622 received D3, said the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.

The Ministry of Health thus invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
