15,275 tests carried out in 24 hours, and 23,458 active cases nationwide

In 24 hours, 15,275 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 11,918,046 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 23,458 cases (1.93%).

In its epidemiological report for this Wednesday, June 29, the Ministry of Health reports 153 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including 29 new admissions in the last 24 hours. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 2.9%. 10 cases under intubation were identified on Wednesday while the total number of cases under artificial respiration stood at 42 cases.

In addition, Morocco has recorded three (3) deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Fez (Fez-Meknes regions) as well as Khénifra and Béni Mellal (Béni Mellal-Khénifra region). The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,107. The case fatality rate fell to 1.33% on Wednesday.

Morocco has also recorded 2,161 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,173,341 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 96.74% on Wednesday.
