15 travel agencies sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism

The Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy announced that it had sanctioned 15 travel agencies. Some of these agencies have permanently lost their accreditation.

The Travel Agencies Technical Advisory Committee has sanctioned 15 travel agencies across Morocco after several complaints were filed against them.

It was the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, who announced it on Tuesday before deputies in the House of Representatives.

Various sanctions have been issued against these travel agencies. Some have received a warning or temporary withdrawal of their travel agent license, others have lost it permanently.

In Casablanca and Tetoun, 3 agencies have lost their approval in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 31.96. In Skhirate and Salé, two agencies had their license suspended for 3 months, and warnings were sent to agencies in Casablanca, Asilah, Agadir, Rabat and Tiznit.

Minister Fatima-Zahra Ammor also announced that the Travel Agencies Technical Advisory Committee has decided to ban all sanctioned travel agencies from organizing pilgrimage trips for the next 3 years.

These sanctions were decided within the framework of the measures taken by the ministry, in collaboration with the National Federation of Regional Associations of Travel Agencies in Morocco, to supervise tourist activity and control the quality of services, recalled the Minister.
