In 24 hours, 12,420 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 11,841,875 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 15,468 cases.
In its epidemiological report for this Thursday, June 23, the Ministry of Health reports 67 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including 25 new admissions in the last 24 hours. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 1.3%. A case under intubation was identified this Thursday while the total of artificial respiration cases is 16 cases.
In addition, Morocco has recorded two deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Salé (Rabat-Salé-Kénitre regions) and Tange-Assilah (Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma region). The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore remains stable at 16,094. The case fatality rate fell to 1.35% on Thursday.
Morocco has also recorded 1,149 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,164,321 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 97.4% on Thursday.
In addition, and as indicated by the standby and monitoring platform of HESPRESS, COVID.HESPRESS.COM/fr, the kingdom recorded during the last 24 hours, 3,086 new confirmed cases COVVI-19, bearing the national contaminations total proven to be 1,195,883.
With regard to vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,851,910, 23,336,111 received the D2 while 6,529,015 received the D3, said the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.
